A Lively Lead

Giddy-up! At Fletcher Maynard Community School Night of Sharing, we are getting giddy with pony rides. I hold the reins while any number of giggly cuties climb into the "saddle" by pulling my stuffed horse's suspenders up over their shoulders. We "ride" two at a time at first to allow everyone more turns to prance and gallop in our roped-off riding ring. Trying to navigate a pony-sized stuffed animal with another person gets very silly! Some teams show their horse sense and some tangle up in a puff of laughter. For our grand finale, one of the older girls bravely charges our steed through a "flaming" hula hoop!

After the pony rides we sit down for circle games...
